Applied AI in Transportation
Although artificial intelligence is not a new research field, it has been evolving at an accelerated pace in recent years and is already influencing and changing our lives. Thus, a solid bridge between theory and application is needed for the design of real-world applications. To obtain useful and trustable AI solutions in transportation, the interaction between academia and industry must be promoted and intensified. This project will review existing research and practices of AI in transportation and design the interdisciplinary AI-enabled transportation education courses for second-cycle and third-cycle students at KTH. It is a collaboration between KTH ABE and EECS schools and is supported by KTH ITRL and iMobility labs. The project contributes to the KTH digitalization platform’s strategic goals in supporting early career researcher, cross-school education and, research activities, strategic research areas in AI/learning and sustainability, and networking activity with the public and transport sectors.
